A mother and daughter built TigerTone™ for our own family first. Now we’re sharing it with yours.
Why was TigerToneâ„¢ created?
We created this device for our father/grandfather, who was living with late-stage Parkinsonism. He was wheelchair-bound, with severe stiffness and hands that had become too tight to use for everyday tasks like feeding himself. He had extreme difficulty letting go of any object and his fingers had to be pried loose. We built a portable 40 Hz vibration device and used it with him at home for about 35 minutes a day, placed on both hands. After roughly eight weeks, our family noticed he seemed less stiff and more relaxed. He was able to control the open and close of his hands/fingers better and remarkably he was able to feed himself again. Caregivers were so shocked they started taking video. His neurologist was likewise surprised. We then decided to form a company to help more people.
